The Dogtra Edge Dog Training Collar is the best Dogtra e-collar on the market. It is the upgraded model of the Dogtra 1800 series dog training collar which was the best long range remote training system. It is also the only expandable 4 collar Dogtra system. The Dogtra Edge Dog Training Collar has 4 operation modes which are “N – Nick”, “C – Constant”, “P – Pager” and “L – light”.

“N” is used as a reminder to correct unwanted behaviour by emitting a single pulse

“C” is used for training reinforcement and delivers a continuous stimulation which last up to a 12 seconds. The stimulation will turn off after 12 seconds.

“P” is the vibration stimulation which can be used as a warning or for communicating with dogs. This is also beneficial with dogs that are hard of hearing.

“L” is the built in location light of every Edge collar. The colour of the light is programmable to match with the colour of the button on transmitter. The Dogtra Edge dog training collar also features exchangeable stimulation levels dials. The Rheostat Dial has total 127 levels of stimulation. The dial allows a smooth increment which can be easily adjusted between levels very quickly. It suits more sensitive dogs. The Set Level Dial has 8 levels of stimulation which changes levels in much larger increment. There is a “click” between each level. It is great for large and stubborn dogs.

Location light

The Dogtra Edge Dog Training Collar can be programmed into four different light colours — white, orange, green and blue. These colours can be matched with the collar strap as well as the buttons on the transmitter. The back light of the LCD screen on the transmitter will match the corresponding colour as well. For example, if you want to activate the green collar, turn the operation mode to “L” and press the green button on the remote transmitter. The green collar will have a blinking high visible green light and the back light of LCD screen will light up in green as well. This makes it much easier to see the location of the dog in low light conditions.
