Tracker - Maxima
Also available at Hunting & Fishing Stores nationwide.
Tracker Radio Systems has revolutionized the portability and ease of use of Radio Frequency Direction Finding equipment. This technology is most commonly employed for locating animals (wildlife, pets, pig hunting dogs and Search and Rescue dogs), people (special needs, at-risk children) and assets. The multi-channel tracking receiver provided the added benefit of tracking up to 100 transmitters at one time by employing the programmable Maxima receiver. Advantages of the Tracker Maxima
Compact Size: In 1992, Tracker created the first pocket-sized receiver employing patented antenna technology and the latest advances in micro-electronic design. Tracker has greatly simplified receiver operation allowing search crews to focus on locating the transmitter rather than operating the hand-piece. Patented technology allows for the design of antennas shorter than their electrical length. This permits the antennas to fold inward along the receiver creating a compact single unit comprised of a receiver and antenna. The receiver measures only 8 ¼” x 2” x 1 ¾” (with antennas folded) and fits into a leather holster that can be worn on a belt.
Durable Construction: Both Tracker receiver & tracking collar are housed in a casing that is milled from a solid aluminum bar. In addition, the antenna elements of the tracker receiver are virtually unbreakable. The durability of the receiver permits a warranty of 10 years on the body and antenna and 2 years on the electronics. 10 channels: The Tracker Maxima Receiver is programmable and is capable of storing up to 10 individual frequencies. Each frequency is assigned a memory location number to facilitate operation. Any frequency in the allowable band can be programmed into the receiver at any time. Audible and LCD Signal Detection: Bearing to the strongest signal can be detected either audibly or by viewing a graph on the LCD. Jacks on the base of the receiver permit the use of headphones and an external power (12 VDC) source (sold separately). Two Modes – Automatic and Manual: One of the many innovations of the Tracker receivers is the Automatic mode of setting the gain control. Unlike many other receivers with a wealth of dials and switches, the Tracker FTV allows the search team to concentrate on the signal when in Automatic Mode. The sophisticated electronics detect the signal strength and sets the gain at an appropriate level to detect bearing to the transmitter. Manual mode is also available should the user desire to set the gain manually. A single button allows the user to toggle between the two modes. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
