In our Australian office we have sold so many cat containment systems we have lost count.   The reason for this is its local law set by many councils that you have to keep your cat contained within your property.   This curtails their natural hunting instinct of your cat to just your property which helps save the native bird life.    Think of all the extra mice your cat will catch?

We think the same here in New Zealand, just like our dogs need to be contained we should really do the same for our precious cats, both for their own safety as well as the protection of our beautiful native birds right down to our geckos and insects.
